Friday

7:00 PM – 7:15 PM

Welcome, Announcements

7:15 PM – 8:15 PM

A Century of Anthroposophic/Homeopathic Research into High and Ultra High Dilutions:

Objective of the session:
A review of the most significant studies of the last hundred years in the work with high and ultra high substance dilutions. The presentation will consider both in vitro as well as plant, animal and human model studies.
These studies should give us new confidence that the effects of highly diluted substances are not just a placebo effect

8:15 PM – 9:15 PM

How to find the right dosage in anthroposophic/homeopathic high dilutions

Objective of the session:
Different homeopathic and anthroposophic traditions have used CH, LM, or D dilutions. Which dilutions (or so called potencies or dynamisations) to choose has always constituted a major difficulty. The presentation will be on basic science research that may help to clarify this question. An attempt will also be made to elucidate some rationale in the meaning and the choice of the so called low, middle and high potencies illustrated with evidence from the literature. Also presented will be specific anthroposophical principles from the practice with high dilution remedies; similarities and differences to classical homeopathy should become more apparent.

Saturday

8:45 AM – 9:00 AM

Starting the day, Introductions, Announcements

9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Therapeutic use of highly diluted Trace Minerals and Metals:

Objective of the session:
Review of the evidence from the literature suggests that homeopathically diluted metals, (like copper, mercury, arsenicum and more) have been known to be an integral part of the anthroposophic/homeopathic therapeutic modalities. The method of preparation of the “mother tinctures”, ensuring the safety of working with these dilutions and the therapeutic uses will be discussed. Also the topic of detoxification of heavy metal poisoning with the means of highly diluted metal preparations will be covered and exemplified with evidence from the literature.

10:30 AM – 11:00 AM

Break

11:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Anthroposophic/homeopathic views on Highly diluted Salts and Ashes

Objective of the session:
High and ultra high dilutions of salts and minerals (see Schuessler salts and others) have an important place in the anthroposophic/homeopathic therapies. We will review the traditional usage as well as newer evidence from the literature on how to integrate them into our therapeutic programs. Examples from the American, Ayurvedic and European repertoire will be presented.

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

The Pediatric Practice:  The therapeutic use of anthroposophic/homeopathic high dilution remedies

Objective of the session:
A review of evidence from the literature on anthroposophic/homeopathic remedies will be presented demonstrating successes and challenges in the work with children and teens. Review of the literature as well individual case presentations will be offered to help practitioners incorporate anthroposophic/homeopathic remedies into their daily practice.

12: 30 PM – 2 PM

Lunch

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Women’s Concerns and Illnesses: The therapeutic use of anthroposophic/homeopathic high dilution remedies

Objective of the session:
Women’s health requires very specific anthroposophic/homeopathic remedies. Complex issues have to address the pre and post menopausal life stages, the maintaining of health as well as addressing concrete illnesses. A review of the evidence from the literature dealing with high dilutions in women’s conditions as well as lessons learned in a long standing practice dealing with women’s issues from an anthroposophic/homeopathic point of view will be presented.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Kidney problems: a Deeper Understanding could lead to more comprehensive therapies

Objective of the session:
Anthroposophic/homeopathic remedies are ideally suited in dealing with a variety of both acute and chronic kidney conditions. Both well established and newer highly diluted substances (f. ex. Carbo, Equisetum, Lightroot, birch, and others) will be considered and the evidence from the literature reviewed.

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM

Break

4:30 PM – 5:00 PM

The role of high dilutions made from organ preparations

Objective of the session:
Traditional healing systems like Chinese medicine and Ayurveda or more modern systems like anthroposophic or homeopathic medicine often rely on the “energetics” of the cardinal organs in the human body. There are considered to be of major importance in both the treatment of mood disorders and physical ailments. The effects of highly diluted forms of these organs are confirmed by the evidence from modern research. The presentations will review the safety issues involved in using highly diluted organ preparations, the importance of a reliable “mother tincture” and published experiences from the clinical practice worldwide. Emphasis will be placed on pineal/pituitary, adrenal, thyroid, the five elemental organs.

5:00 PM – 6:15 PM

Panel presentations of various anthroposophic/homeopathic remedies and methods

Objective of the session:
To clarify various methods and traditions in the use of anthroposophic and homeopathic remedies (high dilutions) in everyday practice.  To further distinguish between the  D, CH, LM and other high dilution formulas. To present the anthroposophic and homeopathic picture of Sulfur, Phosphorus, Nat Mur and Lycopodium

6:15 PM – 7:30 PM

Dinner

8:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Integrating anthroposophic/homeopathic remedies into daily practice

Objective of the session:
This panel led session is reserved for prescribers only. The panel will review the necessary training steps needed in order to introduce anthroposophic/homeopathic diluted remedies into one’s practice; it will explore questions of moral/meditative attitudes necessary in working with and understanding high dilutions; it will look at legal issues involved in using anthroposophic/homeopathic remedies in one’s practice.

Sunday

8:30 AM – 10:30 AM

Berberine: Basic science and clinical applications of the herbal extract and its highly diluted form

Objective of the session:
To review an impressive body of research that demonstrates the mechanistic and energetic understanding of the natural herbal extract berberine in such varied conditions as metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular and connective tissue problems.

Boswellia: Basic science and clinical applications of the herbal extract and its highly diluted form

Objective of the session:
To review the traditional healing role of frankincense (boswellia) as wells as to review the impressive amount of modern research confirming the unique anti inflammatory properties of this natural extract.

Cancer treatment with high dilutions of Viscum album (mistletoe)

Objective of the session:
This session will review several decades of research regarding the therapeutic role of diluted forms of various extracts of mistletoe in cancer treatment. The distinction between injectable and oral dosage forms will be pointed out. Also the distinction will be drawn between traditional uses in blood pressure control and the modern use in immune stimulation.
