How to find a Eurythmy Therapist in order to learn the Rudolf Steiner sequence of soul-eurythmy exercises for mitigating viral illnesses.

In the 1920s noticing that a significant number of Waldorf school children, and many adults in the community, were affected by an influenza outbreak Rudolf Steiner gave a sequence of eurythmy therapy movements that were meant to prevent or mitigate the disease. These exercises were suggested to be done repeatedly with intensity and were meant to be a social hygienic modality not connected to a doctor’s prescription. Rudolf Steiner envisioned that these so-called “soul eurythmy” movements would increase the health of the population in general.

We have given this entire sequence in the webinar entitled “Viral Illnesses and what to do from anthroposophical point of view” which you can find available on our “webinars” page by clicking here.

These eurythmy movements should be taught by an experienced eurythmy therapist so that not only the mechanical gesture but also the appropriate mood can be imparted and followed through by the person learning them. We have also given some of the crucial indications for doing “and feeling” these movements in the webinar itself.

Normally the doctors associated with the Kolisko Institute are not in favor of people receiving instruction in eurythmy via the digital media however at the time when this page is posted (end of March 2020) there is a global pandemic  and in this crisis situation perhaps exceptions to this general rule can be considered.
